Foil Roll Transfers

  1. First, either apply the above mentioned plastisol heat transfers or direct prints to the garment.
  2. Cut the Textile Foil to the desired shape and place it, color side up, over the area chosen to be "foiled". (If Textile Foil is not placed over the entire design, cover the exposed plastisol ink areas with release paper to shield them from the hot platen).
  3. Heat press temperature should be 280-375F. Pressure: 35 psi to 60 psi. Dwell time: 4-10 seconds over a transfer; 10-15 seconds if applying over a direct print.
  4. Stripping: Foil may be pulled within seconds after pressing the foil and garment with the heat press. Pull time will vary depending on material, heat and adhesive used.
  5. For best results the color of ink used for the heat transfer or direct print to be "foiled" should either be black or a complimentary color of the foil. This will help mask any chipping or tarnishing of the foil with repeated washings.

Mug Transfers

  1. Turn on the power switch. Make sure handle is on the "open" position.
  2. Never close the handle of the press without a mug in it when the power switch is "on". This will cause early heater failure.

  4. Set temperature. Approximate beginning setting is 350 to 375 degrees Fahrenheit .
  5. Using one small piece of heat seal tape/lettering tape, tape transfer to mug on each side of the transfer.

Hot Peel / Oversize Transfers

  1. Place garment sideways on platen with neck band just outside the left edge of the lower platen.
  2. Place transfer on the garment so that the image begins approximately 1" inside the left edge of the platen.
  3. Close machine and press for 390 degrees for 10 seconds.
  4. Open machine and immediately peel paper from left to right stopping approximately 2" before reaching the right edge of the platen. This leaves a strip where the paper remains adhered to the garment.
  5. Move the garment and the transfer to the left being careful to leave the paper adhered to the 2" strip. The garment should come to rest with the adhered portion of the design slightly inside the left edge of the bottom platen and the un-pressed portion of the design totally within the platen area.
  6. Repeat step #3.
  7. Open the machine and immediately peel all of the paper away from the garment.
